| "Ms.
Fairechild deals decisively with such thorny (and in many cases previously
undisclosed) in-flight environmental issues as pesticide spraying (which
she calls 'killer mists'), toxic chemicals, radiation, ozone, bad air,
noise, g-forces and electromagnetic pulses. Ms. Fairechild has gathered
a mountain of information during her 21 years in the skies... and gives
the reader her personal spin on each." -National Law Journal |
| "Aviation
expert and author Diana Fairechild explains how recycled air on planes
contributes to air rage and in spreading infectious diseases like the flu
and TB." -Art Bell, Coast to Coast AM |
| "Fairechild
has a bag of carry-on health tricks larger than fits in the overhead compartment,
all included in her book, Jet Smarter." -American
Bar Association Journal |
| "Diana
Fairechild said that the mostly non-lethal dangers of air travel amount
to one of the great unexplored environmental health issues of the day.
Considering how many of us this affects, this lone voice is well worth
hearing." -John Bogert, Copley Newspapers |
| "Fairechild
knows what she's talking about." -The Times-Picayune |
| "Diana
Fairechild likens air flight to childbirth. In her simile the passenger
is like the baby and the jet the womb which, unlike mom's, fails to adequately
sustain the well-being of its inhabitants." -Maui News |

Diana
Fairechild flew over 10 million miles as an international chief purser for
Pan Am.
She has been widely interviewed
including appearances on CNN,
Dateline, Extra, Hard Copy, and Good Morning America. Diana
testifies as an expert
witness in airline lawsuits. She
has authored more than 100 publications (on this site)
to help air travelers.
Diana has also authored five
books. Her
first, Jet Smart, was a bestseller that pushed Washington
to change its policies. Her second, NONI, has briskly
sold for 10 years. Her fourth, Office Yoga, was featured
on the front page of The Wall Street Journal.
Diana has been widely quoted
and her tips to mitigate the hassles and hazards of flying are now used by
travelers worldwide:
• How to get better air,
• What not to eat and drink
on board,
• How best to sleep on board,
• Which flights have the less radiation,
• How to cope with jetlag,
• How to protect children flying alone,
• And a whole lot more.
For the past
15 years, she has diligently answered mail from passengers (pax) and airline
employees, often turning her responses into articles
for the benefit of all.
Diana is
now developing a membership
of concerned travelers with a database
that will allow the flying community to easily communicate with each other.
From Diana:
I lost my health because of the airline practice of spraying pesticides
inside airplane cabins—the
toxic mist raining down on my skin. I
know without doubt that spraying pesticide in occupied aircraft cabins is
a violation of the human rights of everyone
who flies. My hope has always been that through the information in my
books,
articles,
and interviews,
pax will become informed, and this will
help to reform all airline practices which endanger the health and well being
of pax and crew. This web site is entirely in response to the comments and
questions from my readers. Stay well.-Diana
